They can also cause allergic reactions. Pregnant women and those having gallstones should not use Ginger, as they tend to reduce the anesthetic effect. Peppermint oil should not be applied to the face or near mucus membranes. So one should always make it a point to consult with the doctor before taking the help of different herbs for the treatment of IBS. If consulted wisely and if used in a proper dosage herbs can be the best cure for Irritable Bowel Syndromes.
